DIGITAL GROUNDING A critical design for a temporary workstation. Where digital tools of communication, is collected and transformed into fossils. Using a varraity of different tools. The workstations feeds off memory data, such as stored messages, recorded phone calls and captured images, which are encapsulated in the electronic waste itself. Conceptually, these fuel the stations, that is constantly evolving, like an eco-system, as new waste and discarded ready-mades are collected and processed. The project prompts critical reflection on grounding and staying connected in times of isolation and social distancing. The project raises critical questions regarding excessive throw-away culture and the increasing amount of E-waste that is produced during quarantine, as we rely even more on digital devices for feeling connected.
